FIT College Planning is a personalized service dedicated to helping students and their families find the right FIT for what comes after high school.
Our mission is to prepare students by understanding their interests, directing their high school involvement inside and outside the classroom, and walking through the application process while working with their families to develop a financial plan to ultimately help the student and their families make the best FIT decision.
FIT was founded to provide clarity and assurance to a complicated process during a time of great change for a family. We do this with integrity and compassion. Our vision is to be a leader in providing a holistic approach, combining college counseling with financial planning, for like-minded families who prioritize crafting the finest FIT plan for them, and their students.
Affording college for your kids means starting early, investing wisely, and knowing how universities operate when it comes to Financial Aid. Hoping your child will get into Stanford their senior year of high school can create a lot of anxiety for your student. We can help with the ins and outs of college saving and help your children qualify for more grants and scholarships. Tushaus Wealth Management Partner, Chase Tushaus is a Certified College Financial Consultant (CCFC) and he is proud to team up with his wife, Julia Tushaus, who is a College Counselor and holds a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology for School Counseling, PPS. This husband-and-wife dynamic work together and focus on doing the right thing for your student and family.
A FIT meeting will be held initially to ensure our counselor, your student, and your family have the same mindset for achieving the best FIT for all parties.
Best FIT includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Type of school, major desired, location of school, social and emotional environment for your student, activities, cost of school, and expected family contribution and how that impacts your family and other financial goals.
College counseling services to include:
- Selection of schools, applications to schools, scholarships & grants, essay feedback, overall organization timelines, understanding your student’s offer letters, and making the final decision!
College financial planning services include:
- Cost analysis of school list, FAFSA/CSS application prep, review of college expenses and how they relate to family’s larger financial picture/goals, scholarships & grants, strategies for paying for college, school alternatives that provide a potentially better financial FIT.
